The clinical experience provider won Bronze for Startup of the Year.
AMOpportunities, the Chicago-based startup that manages clinical training for schools, hospitals, and students globally, was named a Bronze winner in The Start-up of the Year Category in Best in Biz Awards 2022.
AMOpportunities provides U.S. in-person and virtual clinical training opportunities for medical, dentistry, and nursing trainees. The company maximizes core and elective credits for global medical schools while diversifying and expanding the clinical workforce at hospitals, institutions, and clinics.
Every year, AMO’s initiative is to provide international medical students and graduates with U.S. clinical experiences. 2021 saw the company’s biggest year ever—2022 has already proven that it will be AMO’s best with trainees from the U.S., India, Mexico, Canada, and Colombia with others from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan.
“Bringing global medical professionals to the U.S. is critical to the survival of the American healthcare system,” says Kyle Swinsky, CEO, AMOpportunities. “Being honored by the Best in Biz Awards demonstrates that others realize the importance of the work we are doing. Without foreign-trained physicians, the U.S. healthcare workforce will continue to suffer labor shortages.”
In 2022, AMOpportunities has been honored multiple times, including winning PIEoneer of the Year, the Product Innovation award from Real Innovation Technology Awards, and bronze in the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
Winners of the 12th Best in Biz Awards are determined by scoring from independent judging panels from some of the most respected national and local newspapers, TV and radio outlets, and business, consumer, technology and trade publications in North America. The 2022 judging panel included, among others, writers from AdWeek, Computerworld, Forbes, The Globe & Mail, Inc., The Oregonian, Portland Tribune, and Smart Business.
“The depth and breadth of this year’s nominees in Best in Biz Awards – and especially the winners – demonstrate savvy business acumen among the leadership and represent the type of entrepreneurship powering today’s economy,” says Dustin Klein, Smart Business, judging his first Best in Biz Awards competition. “I came away from the judging experience inspired, filled with ideas, and energized.”
