A resident of Jordan, Raad graduated from medical school in Saudi Arabia. He completed back-to-back rotations in Florida at the onset of COVID-19. Raad believes valuing personal connections separates great doctors from good ones.
"I can’t describe enough how important exploring the world is to you as a physician. It’s as important as it’s beautiful. It’s nice to meet new people, with different mindsets. You will learn a lot, expand your boundaries, and become more fruitful with knowing more about other people’s cultures, religions, traditions, and many more! That will not only be super fun for you, but will also make you know how to deal with different backgrounds of who may become your patient in the future. This will make you develop the ultimate doctor-patient relationship."
